Music x Sound for Memorials

Live violin, sound baths, meditation, and ceremony for funerals, celebrations of life, and moments of remembrance.

Grief asks us to hold so much at once: love, memory, absence, gratitude, and everything that cannot quite be put into words. Music can meet us there.

I can join a service already being planned by a family, funeral home, church, or officiant to perform a meaningful violin selection, or work with you to create a more personalized memorial experience through sound, meditation, and ceremony.

Live Memorial Violin

As a classically trained violinist with a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance and more than 25 years of experience, I offer live violin music for funerals, celebrations of life, graveside services, and other memorial gatherings.

I can join a service already being planned by your family, funeral home, church, or officiant and perform one or more meaningful musical selections as part of the program.

One musical number: $77
Additional selections: $33 each

Special song requests may be available depending on timing and musical complexity.

Ways I Can Support You

Every memorial is different. These offerings can stand alone or be intentionally woven together around the life being honored, the people gathering, and the kind of experience you hope to create.

Memorial Sound Ceremony

A personalized ceremony weaving a sound bath, music, meditation, food, and meaningful ritual to honor the life of someone you love.

Each experience is created around the person being remembered and may be incorporated into a memorial gathering or offered privately for family and loved ones.

Private Grief Sound Bath

A private sound bath created for individuals, families, or small groups moving through grief.

These gatherings offer a sacred container away from the logistics and demands that often surround loss, with room for rest, reflection, remembrance, and connection through guided meditation and a sound bath.

Created Around the Life Being Honored

Every life carries its own stories, relationships, and rhythms. I believe the way we remember someone should feel just as personal.

Whenever possible, I take time to learn about the person being honored: the music they loved, the relationships that shaped them, the stories their family carries, and the atmosphere you hope to create.

From there, music, a sound bath, meditation, readings, food, ritual, and other meaningful elements can be chosen intentionally to create an experience that feels connected to the life and relationships at the heart of the gathering.

Why This Work Matters to Me

Music has been part of the way my own family has marked loss for many years. As a violinist, I have had the deeply personal experience of playing at the funerals of people I love, most recently standing beside my son as we played “Amazing Grace” together at my grandmother’s funeral.

Experiences like these have continually reminded me that music does not need to explain grief in order to accompany us through it. A melody can hold memory, love, sorrow, gratitude, and presence all at once.

Bringing together my life as a musician with more than a decade of work in sound, meditation, and sacred space feels like a natural extension of something music has taught me again and again: there are moments when words are simply not enough.

Creating Something Meaningful Together

If you are planning a funeral, memorial, celebration of life, or private gathering and feel that music or a sound bath could have a place within it, I would be honored to hear about the person you are remembering and what you hope to create.

Each experience is created individually, and we can begin simply with a conversation.

Available throughout Utah, with travel available for select gatherings.
